International Activities
There is a new section on the website where all notices regarding International Trials, Matches and Events will be shown.
So if you are interested in how the SBU is managing our international activities, particularly Trials, this is the place where you will find all the information you want or need.
The new Trials Preparation Event  is intended to allow those players who wish to gain experience of trial events or who aspire to play for Scotland to compete without having to play against the very strongest players. At least the four leading pairs in this event will be offered places in Stage 1 of the Open Trials.

The book is quite an achievement and must have been an enormous amount of work.  It does the SBU proud. A job very well done!

Limitation of Penalties
Clubs may make their own rules regarding limitation of penalties in aggregate tournaments however the SBU recommend that the rules laid down in the 1951 edition of Farrington's "Duplicate Bridge Movements" is adopted, including the recommendation that "no score shall be limited to less than the score made by any other pair playing the hand in the same direction whose score is not subject to limitation".
