SBU Bridge Weekends



The SBU are offering four weekend events suitable for bridge students and new or inexperienced players. These weekends aim to introduce you to tournament play in a small and supportive environment. The events are fun and friendly, and there are experienced players on hand to answer your questions and facilitate the play.  Two weekends will include tuition (Liz McGowan will be leading the course) and two are play only to allow guests more time to relax and enjoy the surrounding area. The tuition weekends include lectures, quizzes, handouts, and tournaments. The play only  weekends will give guests the opportunity to play in Pairs and Teams events. There will be a daily tournament (Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday morning/afternoon) with optional bridge on Saturday after dinner.

The costs quoted include full board from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch,  plus bridge tuition and tournaments. There will be small prizes awarded to tournament winners.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. There is a limited number of rooms available for singles and preference may be given to those who will share.
