SBU National Co-ordinator of Junior Bridge Junior bridge has been very successful over recent years and the Council is now looking for someone to take over the co-ordination of the support of the young players and take responsibility for organising the formal activities, including selecting teams for overseas events and ensuring that appropriate arrangements are made for our teams to take part in UK, European and World events. The Council has established a budget for all junior activities and there is a strong commitment for continued support. The Co-ordinator will report to the Council and it is expected that he/she will help identify what resources are required in future. The Council is looking for a well organised and committed person that will not necessarily be a ‘top’ player. Several experienced coaches and stronger players have offered their services to coach players and run training sessions and there are also several willing and able people who can accompany team or be non-playing captains if necessary. The post attracts an honorarium of £3,000 pa. and reasonable expenses will be reimbursed. This is subject to annual review.
